Evil Under the Sun

I have a not-so-secret guilty pleasure, which is detectives stories. Georges Simenon is far and away my favorite author in this genre, but more on that another time. All by way of saying, I recently watched an Agatha Christie movie from 1982 called Evil Under the Sun. While the movie itself was fairly silly and forgettable (although it features some fun actresses like Jane Birkin and Diana Rigg), I was really into the costume design. Totally tacky, musical theater type ensembles: stripes, polka dots, garish primary colors galore. All in all, a great way to ring in the summer.
